Muscari chalusicum (SDS)

Syn. Pseudomuscari chalusicum

HISTORY /ORIGIN

From the Chalus Gorge in Iran, plants were originally introduced to the UK by Paul Furse.

The picture shows plants in my collection, grown from seeds supplied by Plant World Seeds in 2018, first flowering in Mar 2022.

Compared to P. azureum and
P. coeleste, these Pseudomuscari have fewer and larger flowers, on taller stems.

The leaves are also far more lax and twisting across the soil surface.

There have been few difficulties in getting the seeds to germinate or getting the bulblets to grow on, resulting in a number of healthy flowering plants.
