Collectors References and Expedition Initials

For those interested in collecting plants, it is always interesting and sometimes important to know the provenance of your plants.

In my collection you will see a number of initials, alongside the plant names, identifying them as having some relationship with certain plant collection expeditions or particular collectors. Below are the names and places behind the collection initials.

AH – Antoine Hoog

BATM – Batman expedition in Turkey

JJA – Jim and Jenny Archibald

KPPZ – M.Kammerlander, E. Pasche, J. Persson and H. Zetterlund.

RRW – Rannwieg and Robert Wallis
